A ski designed to improve skiing technique on the slopes, on all types of snow.
The Patrol 80 is comfortable on all slopes, for men skiers looking to improve and who want to ski regardless of the conditions. Its construction provides very good stability in turns and makes it easy to pivot, allowing you to feel confident and improve your technique.
Camber and rockers.
The shape of this ski has short rockers at the front and light ones at the back, improving initiation in turns, on all types of snow and allowing you to pivot easily. This is an ideal shape to improve your level.
Sidecuts.
126/81/114 in 167 cm, radius = 14 m
126/81/114 in 175 cm
126/81/114 in 183 cm
These are the widths of the tip (front of the ski), the waist (middle) and the tail (back). A wide tip makes it easy to enter turns, while a narrow waist provides grip on hard snow.
Structure.
The Patrol 80 has a ‘Cap / Sandwich’ construction with ABS edging to boost the energy incorporated in the tip. Their soles have a high molecular weight, which absorbs wax better and improves glide quality.
Weight.
In 167 cm: 5.1 kg.
In 175 cm: 5.2 kg.
In 183 cm: 5.42 kg.
Bindings.
LOOK bindings, Xpress XP W 10 GW model in white.
GripWalk compatible, Din 3 to 10.
Suitable for ski boots with a sole length between 261 mm and 327 mm.
Durability.
The end of the tip is made of aluminium and the tail reinforcement is in ABS for greater strength.
The topsheet (upper coating) is composed of reinforced areas where the skis can cross over, for greater durability over time.
Preparation
Waxed and sharpened skis, ready to use. Edge sharpened to 89°.
Caring for your skis: before, during and at the end of the season?
Maintenance is essential to keep your skis in good condition! Ideally, it should be done before you put them away in the garage at the end of the season: a good coat of wax before putting them away for the summer makes them last longer. What is the camber?
On the ground, the points of contact between the ski and the snow are near the tip and tail, while the centre (under the bindings) rises slightly (this is the camber). The longer and higher the camber, the greater the edge grip and more responsive the ski. The lower the camber, the more forgiving the skis and the better the handling.
What is the rocker?
It is the tip and tail that lift off the ground. By recentring the points of contact between the skis and the ground, this shortens the amount of time that the skis touch the snow and improves handling / lift in soft snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.
