What are the various lighting modes?
This versatile headlamp adapts to all situations:
- Solid red mode for staying discreet
- Shared mode (50 lumens) for bivouacing as a group
- Wide mode (30 lumens) for reading
- Strong mode (200 lumens) for moving around
The dimmer allows you to precisely adjust the power between 10 and 200 lumens by holding the button down.
When the battery runs out, the automatic reserve mode guarantees 1 hour of operation at 30 lumens.
Is this outdoor headlamp water-resistant?
IPX4-certified, this torch resists water splashes in all directions. Rain and humidity inside the tent are not a problem. Perfect for classic bivouacing conditions, it remains efficient in all situations.
What’s the point of the red light?
The red light doesn't disturb your night vision and helps you get used to the dark. It also allows you not to disturb the fauna around you.
Isn’t this headlamp too bright for a bivouac?
This headlamp has different LED temperatures depending on the mode, so as to make it more comfortable to use.
For nearby use (shared and wide), the temperature is 4,000 K (Kelvin). Narrow mode, designed for movement, has a temperature of 5,500 K to improve visibility.
How can I use my Simond multi-function headlamp?
This is a multi-purpose headlamp that offers different means of attachment:
- An elastic band to attach it to your stick or a tree branch, for example
- A metal clip that attaches to a cap, a backpack strap or a belt, etc.
What type of battery is used?
This headlamp uses a 750 mAh Lithium-ion battery that’s rechargeable via a USB-C cable (not supplied) and is compatible with external chargers and solar panels.
