    The filling of this down jacket is made of 90% recycled polyester fibres.
    For the lining, we also use a dye called "two-tone" which consists of dyeing only one out of two threads. This dyed yarn is also made using self-dyeing which incorporates colour pigments from the manufacture of the yarn to avoid dye baths and so reduce our water consumption.
    This process makes it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% compared to a conventional dye.

    In event of rain

    The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. This means that drops of water roll off the fabric preventing them from soaking into the down jacket as quickly, giving you time to find some shelter. But the down jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.

    The benefits of synthetic wadding

    Wadding is an effective alternative to feathers:
    - it has good thermal insulation, even when wet
    - it provides some breathability and is recommended for intense activities (feathers are recommended for static activities)
    - it is easy to maintain: machine wash at 30°C and tumble dry

    Valuable advice for improving the durability of your down jacket!

    In general, do not wash a down jacket too frequently because each wash decreases the thermal properties.

    We have incorporated recycled polyester into this product (instead of conventional polyester, which is derived from petrochemical plastic). What does this mean? In addition to being technical, this product has been designed taking into account its environmental impact: using recycled polyester means recovering and transforming products destined to be thrown away, such as production offcuts or plastic bottles, instead of using new oil resources.

    Dyeing textiles requires lots of water, whilst also generating water waste from the dyeing vats. To reduce the environmental impact this has, we have chosen solution dyeing, which integrates colour pigments when manufacturing the thread. This uses less water and therefore also leads to less water wastage.
