How does this trekking boot offer unique comfort?
This boot has been designed to accompany you through your treks:
- Its shape, adapted to women’s feet, optimises your comfort.
- Its tongue with a single gusset prevents the external elements from entering the boot and reduces friction.
- Its flexibility enables better foot motion when walking.
- The midsole built into the studs provides cushioning in the heel and the entire foot.
HDry® technology
Thanks to the HDry® quality standard, the boots made with this system have the highest level of waterproofing, breathability and insulation. The waterproof and breathable membrane is firmly laminated to the inside of the boot and there are no seams or gaps where water can enter. The ultra-thin waterproof membrane and unique lamination method provide a precise fit and keep your boots dry and lightweight all day long.
HOW WATERPROOF ARE THESE BOOTS?
This boot has been validated by a waterproofing test at 100,000 repeatable flexes, i.e. more than 8 hours of walking in water up to the mid-upper, which today guarantees an excellent level of waterproofing for your boots.
--> Our assessment indicates a level of 5/5
What is SpringLug technology?
We use Vibram® SpringLug technology on the heel section of these boots.
This technology consists of hollowing out the studs to integrate flexible polyurethane (PU). The presence of this cushioning material in the rubber cover makes the boot lighter and provides better cushioning at the heels. This cushioning reduces impacts and facilitates foot motion.
What is the use of Vibram® technology on these shoes?
The grip of our soles are Vibram® certified, so you benefit from recognised technical materials.
The crampons, which are unique to this boot, are specially designed in collaboration with our teams and Vibram® expertise.
In mountainous terrain, soles must be versatile in order to cope with stones, to avoid slipping on these surfaces and also to be able to grip on uphill and downhill slopes that have become muddy.
What makes this trekking shoe particularly durable?
These boots were designed to withstand wear-and-tear, while providing protection for your feet from external elements:
- Full grain leather shoes and ultra-durable components: MATRYX®
- Reinforcement at the heel and forefoot, to withstand wear-and-tear on the ground and provide an excellent stone guard.
- Double seams on the upper assembly.
- Over-lasting construction to protect the midsole.
For what types of terrain have these trekking boots been designed?
These lightweight and precise trekking shoes are designed to cope with rough terrain such as rocks or on difficult trails.
Thanks to the foot motion, flexibility and cushioning provided by these boots, you will be able to trek comfortably on all types of trails, even in the most difficult conditions, whatever the weather conditions.
What is the special feature in terms of the way these boots have been assembled?
These boots have been assembled using an overlasting system. Overlasting is a method of assembly that protects the midsole by combining cushioning and durability.
This sole (midsole) needs to be protected as the PU contained is very supple for better cushioning.
How have we improved the lacing on these trekking boots?
For better foot support inside the boot, we have redesigned various parts:
- The lacing system keeps the laces apart between the top and bottom of the boot, while reducing the number of hooks for easier lacing.
- Differentiated lace thickness: thicker on the upper part for better foot support and thinner on the rest of the boot to make it slide easily.
How to care for your trekking boots
To ensure your shoes will be worn for a long time to come, remember to give them a clean wipe from time to time using:
- A soft brush
- Special solid leather soap
- Water-repellency reactivator spray
