A fabric's water-repellent property is its ability to let water slide off its surface without soaking in. The fabric doesn’t soak up water and so remains lightweight, breathable and warm. It is made from a treatment on the outside of the fabric, which must be renewed (every 3 washes). |

This is a very thin polyurethane film that makes the material waterproof while remaining breathable. More flexible, lightweight, resistant and often more breathable than coating, which is less expensive and requires a protective lining, similar to paint applied to the inside of the fabric. |

| What should you wear under your ski trousers? |
Depending on the temperature, we recommend wearing breathable thermal base layers (known as layer 1) under these unlined trousers, which do not provide any additional warmth. |
| How can you reactivate the water repellency of your ski trousers? |
The water repellency of your trousers should be reactivated regularly (every 3 washes): over time, even though they remain waterproof thanks to the fabric used, they seem to start absorbing water. To do this, use a reactivating spray or a treatment reapplication product, and follow the tutorial in the customer service section of our website. |
| Wash and/or dry your ski trousers: following a specific protocol, you can improve its lifespan. |
Close the zips, loosen the ties and read the instructions on the label. You can use a tumble dryer or leave to air dry, and finish off by using the hair dryer for five minutes (the heat helps with waterproofing).
