WHICH ATHLETES IS THIS FOR? |
ISO powder is designed for all sportspeople (triathletes, marathon and trail runners, etc.) during exercise lasting less than 3 hours, whether training or racing. One dose of ISO, i.e. 38g, should be diluted in 500ml of water. We recommend that you drink one bottle per hour of exercise, but this is a general recommendation. Everyone knows how much they sweat and can therefore adapt their hydration accordingly. |
A PRODUCT DESIGNED FOR ENDURANCE WORKOUTS |
An isotonic drink contains the same amount of carbohydrates, sodium and water as your blood. This makes it easier for your body to absorb it and thus provides hydration. In the ISO drink there are also:
- vitamins B2 and B6, which help combat muscle fatigue,
- vitamin C to help protect your cells from oxidative stress,
- minerals to compensate for sweat losses. |
TIP ON DOSING |
If the amount of carbohydrate, sodium and water in your drink is greater than the amount in your blood, your drink is no longer isotonic, but hypertonic and favours dehydration.
If this is not the case (ISO powder is too diluted), it is hypotonic and favours hydration to the detriment of nutrient absorption. You can also use this dosage when it's very hot, so you can drink more without consuming too much powder! |
ISO AND ISO+, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? |
• The ISO drink is suitable for workouts of between 1 and 3 hours. Therefore, we recommend using a dose of 38 g in 500 ml of water.
• ISO+ is suitable for workouts lasting 3 hours or more. We recommend that you ingest 60g of carbohydrates per hour of exercise, i.e. a dose of 38g of ISO+ to be dissolved in a 500ml bottle of water and topped up with a gel or bar. |
