    Here are a few tips to make the most of them:
    - Choose the right sized hand paddles. If this is your first time, do not choose a size that is too big.
    - Increase your efforts gradually. This is essential to protect your shoulders and make lasting progress.

    If the paddles tend to “pop off” your hands, then your movement can be improved. Concentrate on your sensations and how your hands or forearms come into contact with the water. You will soon find the ideal position for a more efficient and powerful stroke.

    How to use your hand paddles

    There are two options available to you:
    1 - Fasten the straps of your paddles around your wrists to get the most stability. This is the most recommended when beginning to use them.
    2 - As you gain more experience, you can use the hand paddles without the wrist straps. The benefits? To help you feel your contact with the water better and find the right movement (because if you make the wrong move, the paddles could slip off of your hands).
