Does the NH100 jacket really keep you warm?
The 100 g/m² padded insulation in this jacket, covering the body and arms, is ideal for winter conditions such as cold, rain and snow. The fleece-lined hood and hand pockets ensure that your head and hands stay well protected and warm. The elastic tightening at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves prevent the cold and moisture from getting in, to guarantee complete thermal insulation.
What does “recommended temperature” mean?
When we state that the jacket is comfortable down to -5°C, this is based on the results of our tests. The “recommended” temperature is the outdoor thermal equilibrium temperature at which 95% of users hiking at a moderate pace under controlled conditions reported feeling neither too hot nor too cold. This is an average: of course, everyone has their own sensitivity to the cold.
Is this jacket waterproof?
Waterproofing, achieved through a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm H₂O (the pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This is a membrane, and the garment is waterproof to 8,000 mm Schmerbers (before washing).
In addition to the fabric itself, to ensure greater waterproofing, the main seams of the NH100 jacket are sealed using waterproof adhesive tape applied to the inside of the garment.
What features does the NH100 jacket have?
Two lined pockets give you easy access to all of your essentials (tissues, keys, mobile phone, etc.) during your hiking trips or everyday outings.
A ski pass pocket has been added to the forearm so that this jacket can see you through the winter, even on the slopes!
What should I wear under my jacket for hiking in the snow?
To dress warmly in winter, we recommend following the 3-layer rule:
1. Technical base layers, which wick away moisture to keep you dry.
2. The second layer (fleece, jumper), which provides warmth and wicks away moisture. Which is a good thing as this jacket is designed so you can wear a fleece underneath!
3. The waterproof jacket that protects against the elements: rain, snow, wind.
How do I look after my winter jacket?
Close the zips, loosen the ties and follow the instructions on the label.
You can use the tumble dryer or leave it to air dry, adding 5 minutes with a hairdryer (the heat helps with waterproofing).

How do I restore my NH100 jacket’s water-repellency?
The water-repellent finish on your jacket needs to be reactivated regularly (every 3 washes): over time, even though it remains waterproof thanks to the material, it will appear to absorb water. To do this, use a reactivator spray or a re-coating product and follow the tutorials on our after-sales service website.
