    Design details

    Are these trousers warm?

    The inside of these trousers is made of brushed fabric, which traps air to be used as insulation against the cold. Thermal comfort at temperatures down to -6°C tested and approved.

    How is thermal comfort measured?

    The thermal resistance test shows the loss of heat between the body and the outside, indicating the product’s insulating properties. It is carried out on a thermal mannequin, measuring the conservation of body heat

    Why wear gaiters on these trousers?

    To provide additional protection against dampness and snow, these trousers are equipped with gaiters fitted with lace-up hooks. By preventing snow from entering your shoes, these features allow you to stay comfortable, while keeping your feet dry

    How waterproof are they?

    These trousers have a water-repellent coating that lets water slide off the surface without penetrating. This allows your legs to stay dry during light showers or in wet conditions

    How to restore the water-repellent properties?

    To maintain effectiveness, we recommend regularly re-applying the water-repellent treatment, ideally with every wash. You will find specially-designed accessory products (in spray or liquid form) in our shops and on our website

    How do these trousers keep you ventilated?

    For hiking with a lot of movement, we know how important it is to wear trousers that allow heat to escape. With its two side ventilation zips, these trousers offer optimal temperature regulation while hiking, ensuring you remain comfortable throughout your adventure

    How are they comfortable and practical?

    To make it easier to move, we have added elastane to the fabric to make these trousers stretchier. We have also designed an elasticated waistband with loops so that they stay in place throughout your hike.

    Store in a dry, dark place.
    We recommend you avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could cause deterioration in the garment’s thermal insulation.

    • DRYING IN TUMBLE DRYER POSSIBLE. LOW TEMPERATURE, MAXIMUM DRUM EXHAUST TEMPERATURE 60°C.

    • DO NOT IRON.

    • MAXIMUM WASHING TEMPERATURE 30°C. NORMAL TREATMENT.

    • BLEACHING EXCLUDED.

    Test product

    We carry out 2 types of thermal testing: - a test of the trousers’ material. - a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber. We reproduce the temperature, wind (5km/h) and humidity conditions that you would encounter in the mountains walking at 5km/h. These tests validate our design choices and we then adapt the thermal insulation where you need it most.
