To take proper care of your bike, it's important to know the exact dimensions of your tyres.This information is given on the tyre sidewall (diameter and cross-section).
For example, 26 x 2.20 means a tyre with a 26-inch diameter and 2.2 inches wide.
On the tyre sidewall you will also find the dimensions in mm in ETRTO international units. For example, 50-559 means a tyre that is 50 mm wide and has an inner diameter of 559 mm (approx. 26 x 2.00).
