The ball size is selected based on the players' age: Size 3 is ideal for children up to 8 years old, Size 4 is recommended for ages 8 to 12, while Size 5 is the official size for teenagers aged 12 and above, as well as for adults.

For grass and synthetic turf, classic stitched or thermally bonded PU/PVC balls are preferred as they offer excellent trajectory and a soft touch.
For concrete, asphalt, or dirt fields, specialized street footballs made from durable rubber or with a reinforced outer layer are chosen to withstand heavy friction.

To inflate the ball properly, always moisten the pump needle with a little water or oil before inserting it into the valve to avoid damaging it. Then, inflate the ball to the recommended pressure indicated next to the valve (usually 0.6 - 0.8 bar) using a pressure gauge for optimal accuracy.
