How do you adjust your stick to the correct length?
With the arm along the body which should only be slightly bent, the optimal length is shorter than on a classic pole.
To adjust:
Pull the lower section until the lower push-pin locks into place (metal button).
Then, slide the tube in the middle to the desired length, and lock using the blocking mechanism.
Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole.
What precautions should you take when using the poles?
This hiking pole should allow you to efficiently maintain your balance on mountain paths.
For your safety, check that your pole is locked in correctly before each outing. If you notice that your pole tends to slide down, the locking mechanism turn ring needs to be retightened. Open the lever and tighten the knob slightly before testing again.
Please do not attach the poles to the outside of your bag in periods of storms or thunder.
How do you clean and maintain these hiking poles?
Maintaining your hiking poles allows you to extend their lifespan.
After use, if water has penetrated the stick, remove the strands and allow to dry. If necessary, clean off any dust or mud with clean water or dry, using a soft brush or paintbrush. Once completely dry, you can reassemble the sections.
Do not attempt to oil or grease the mechanisms.
Why is the pole sold individually?
We’ve decided to sell this hiking pole as an individual unit. On the one hand because some hikers are used to only using one pole.
What accessories are sold separately and are suitable for use with this pole model?
At Simond, accessorisation and the compatibility of our products are key. You can pair this hiking pole with a wide range of accessories and spare parts.
