    What is the hood on this vest used for on an outing while skiing?

    The hood can be positioned like a cushion around the back of the neck to prevent draughts between the ski helmet and the jacket collar. During a break, when you take off your ski helmet, it can keep your head warm.

    How is this vest worn?

    You can wear it over a thermal base layer to add an extra layer of warmth, or over a close-fitting second layer (e.g.: (the Seamless 900). The vest is just as easy to wear on a day-to-day basis.

    How should you dress to stay warm and dry on the slopes?

    We recommend wearing three layers of technical clothing to stay warm on the ski slopes.

    - Layer 1 or a second skin, to stay dry.
    - Layer 2, or the insulating layer, to keep you warm.
    - Layer 3, or the protective layer, to protect against the elements.
