What are the features of the Sprint 0°C down sleeping bag?
The hood with drawstring and the anti-cold flap along the zip avoid heat loss.
YKK zip with double slider for optimal ventilation.
Two loops at the bottom of the bag let you hang it up to air or dry.
Comes with a storage bag in perforated fabric.
What is the fill power of the down used in the Sprint 0°C down sleeping bag?
We use 900-cuin RDS-certified goose down (90% down/10% feathers).
The down is spread over 4cm-high compartments, separated by mesh partitions positioned in a Z-shape to prevent the formation of thermal bridges.
Why did we choose goose down?
A fill power of over 800 cuin can only be obtained with goose down. Compared to duck down, it offers superior loft and warmth for the same weight. You also obtain a more compact sleeping bag, as it requires less down for equivalent thermal comfort.
What is comfort temperature?
We display the comfort temperatures that are determined by an independent lab (AITEX) on all our sleeping bags, in accordance with the international standard ISO 23537-1: 2022.
Comfort temperature is the minimum temperature at which an average person (female, 25 years old, 60 kg, 1.60 m) feels comfortable and not cold when they are in a relaxed position.
Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.
What is the comfort limit temperature?
The comfort limit temperature is the minimum temperature at which an average person (male, 25 years old, 70kg, 1.73m) is able to sleep in a curled-up position without feeling significantly cold.
For your information, the extreme temperature is the minimum temperature at which a person can survive (risk of hypothermia) for 6 hours. This is a safety measure, not a comfort measure.
Which mattress should I use this sleeping bag with?
We recommend that you use a mattress with an R-value (thermal resistance) of 4.8.
If you use a less insulating mattress, the thermal performance of your sleeping bag will be reduced.
What are the different sizes and weights of this sleeping bag?
Size M (between 1.60 m and 1.69 m): 615g for the sleeping bag alone (incl 376g of down/feathers). Folded dimensions: L 35 cm diam. 19 cm. 7.5L volume when uncompressed.
Size L (between 1.70 m and 1.84 m): 700g for the sleeping bag alone (incl 430g of down/feathers). Folded dimensions: L 35 cm diam. 20 cm. 9.9L volume when uncompressed.
Size XL (between 1.85 m and 2 m): 790g for the sleeping bag alone (incl 488g of down/feathers). Folded dimensions: W 35 cm Ø 21 cm11L volume when uncompressed.
How durable is the fabric used for the Sprint 0°C down sleeping bag?
The outer side is made of 100% 10-denier polyamide fabric (20g/sqm), with a 30-denier ripstop reinforcement. This material can withstand 80,000 abrasion cycles.
Its resistance is calculated using the Martindale test (ISO 12947-2 standard), in which the fabric is rubbed against another material to observe the wear limits of the product.
How is the material used in this sleeping bag manufactured?
No PFAS treatments have been intentionally added to this product.
How can I keep warm in the Sprint 0°C sleeping bag?
Dress simply (1 layer is enough, ideally made of merino wool).
Warm up your extremities (wear a beanie hat, gloves, socks and use body warmers if necessary).
Use a sleeping bag liner to maximise the heat.
Avoid washing your sleeping bag too often
Choose an insulating mattress (R-value > 4.8)
Tip: contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat), but avoid any movements that would create a cold draught.
How to care for your Sprint 0°C sleeping bag
Even if you use a bag liner, we recommend that you wash your sleeping bag from time to time.
Machine wash it at 30°C, with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and select a gentle spin cycle.
Use our special down detergent (ref: 8817232)
Tumble dry for 2 to 3 cycles with 2 or 3 tennis balls until it is completely dry.
How to repair your Sprint 0°C sleeping bag
When trekking, you may well get a tear in your sleeping bag! The good news is that it can be repaired to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the down from escaping.
We recommend using self-adhesive repair patches (ref: 8777140).
If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, we offer a repair service in our Decathlon stores and one of our specialists can apply a heat-bonded patch for you.
What is the RDS certification?
Responsible Down Standard-certified products contain feathers and down from certified farms that meet animal welfare requirements.
