Breathable material
The JIS L 1099 B1 test measures the water vapour passing through a fabric over 24 hours, in grammes per m². The higher this value, the more breathable the fabric. Performance of 5,000 g/m²/24 hrs is very good for your children’s hiking practice.
How to measure waterproofing
Nothing could be easier for keeping the jacket waterproof! Reactivate the protective layer every 3 washes or after 10 uses in the rain. Either: 15 minutes in a tumble drier, or with a hair dryer held 20 cm away. And that’s it... mission accomplished!
Pratical and compact
The jacket can be stored in its own pouch to make it easy to transport.
It is fitted with a zipped central opening, a hood, as well as elasticated cuffs and waistband for optimal handling and enhanced wind protection.
Waterproof fabric
The fabric’s water resistance is measured in water column mm (JIS Standard 1092). The higher the value, the more waterproof the fabric. This garment has passed an intense shower test: 60 l/m²/hour for one hour, simulating a shower in the mountains.
