It has a brushed component on the inside: the fibres are "brushed" several times to create a fluffy, insulating surface. Each strand of fibre stores air and acts as an insulator, providing a feeling of thermal comfort.
Other things to bear in mind about this jacket
This fleece has 2 zipped pockets at the sides to hold documents or small accessories. It also has a vertical chest pocket. The elbows of the jacket have faux suede patches for a soft, velvety feel.
