What you need to know about this harness pocket
Inside the carry pocket, there are 2 detachable black accessories. They are made of foam and are held together by a riptab fastener. They are used to secure your binoculars, so that they do not move and are well protected.
They are also designed to keep your binoculars at the right height if you need to grab them quickly for use: easier to grip.
You can therefore use a single foam wedge, the 2 fastened together or none at all.

The central compartment of the pocket is opened (and closed) by magnets. There are 2 magnets in the flap that come into contact with 2 other magnets on the back of the pocket. We made this choice to reduce noise, so you remain as stealthy as possible.
Please note: there is also 1 magnet on the front to keep the pocket open.
Whether open or closed, the pocket is always secured by magnets.

There are 2 compartments on the sides of the pocket: they can be used for a variety of purposes, whether you are hunting or observing wildlife.If you are stalking, you can slip a rangefinder (part number 8559425) onto one of the side pockets, for example, and a wind direction indicator (part number 8973749) onto the other. Naturalists and wildlife photographers can insert a smartphone or digiscoping adaptor (part number 8648792). The choice is yours!

There is a hole at the bottom of the pocket. It provides slight ventilation to prevent the lenses of your binoculars from fogging up. It also serves a second purpose: if you are out in light rain and the central compartment has been left open, it serves to evacuate any water that has entered the pocket.
The component of this accessory is water-repellent: it does not absorb moisture: it protects against fine raindrops, but not a downpour.

There is a mesh net inside the central compartment. It can be used to hold a microfibre cloth to clean the eye cups of your binoculars, for example. Please note: this microfibre is supplied with all the pairs of Solognac binoculars.
On the outside at the rear, there is another compartment for storing even more accessories: the straps of your binoculars, a telephone, a pocket for bullets, etc.
Why is there a MOLLE loop under the pocket?
Below the harness pocket, there is a pad with MOLLE loops. There are a number of possible uses: you can, for example, attach another pocket to it if you need more volume to carry more accessories (reference 8826785 in particular); for stalkers in particular, it can also contain a knife like the sika 90 (part numbers 8738513 or 8588413).
A few details about the harness
The 4 straps at the front and rear of the harness can be adjusted using 4 clips. Each strap has an elasticated band for more comfortable carrying. This also helps to make sure that the harness is firmly pressed against your chest.
There are also two small mesh sections on the harness: they prevent you from feeling too hot when you wear it, especially in the summer. We chose this component because it offers a good compromise between strength and breathability.
Bonus
When you are stalking and it is really late in the day, the light starts to fade. If you want to make yourself visible to other people outdoors in nature, you can attach small lights (not supplied) to both sides of the harness using the various loops. It is up to you to choose between a red light to remain stealthy, or a white one to light up the way back to your car, for example.
