    Design details

    What makes it special?

This ball is IHF certified, ensuring its compliance with international quality and performance standards. Designed to meet the demands of hardened players, it provides the optimal play experience.

    Highly effective grip

An exceptional grip thanks to the outer polyurethane coating combined with foam that provides both grip and comfort. And guess what? The resin will even improve the grip over time. Like magic!

    Withstands even the hardest shots

While the cover is softer, that does not make it more fragile. Entirely hand-stitched with a whipping knot, the H900 ball withstands even the hardest hits. In durability tests, the HB900 withstood 1500 shots against a steel plate before showing signs of wear.

    Will it stay inflated?

Our engineers designed a bladder to improve the balls' bounce quality and hold up well in the long term. Thanks to this bladder, the ball deflates much slower over time. This means that you spend less time inflating it.

    The Kipstadium, in Tourcoing, France

To design our balls, we have a dedicated team, as well as a laboratory based in France. The Ball team in France is made up of product engineers, component engineers and test engineers, which means we are able to master the entire ball design process, from components to technical validation.

    Our balls laboratory

At Decathlon we've been testing our balls for over 15 years in order to validate our products during the design, industrialisation and post-production phases. A laboratory 100% dedicated to ball tests was even created in 2018 at the Kipstadium site in France.
More than a dozen tests are carried out on our balls. First of all, there are the tests required by the IHF, as well as other, additional tests, created by the engineers within our laboratory.
