What's the benefit of putting a roof on my trampoline?
With this protective dome on your trampoline, you'll never again hear cries of:
- “ugh, it's raining… I'm bored”
- “it's too hot, I can't play outside”
- “there are too many leaves on the trampoline. I can't jump”.
This roof lets kids have even more fun with their trampoline. It protects them from the sun and the rain. It also gives the trampoline an extra 2-in-1 function, turning it into a little cabin that your kids will absolutely love!
Isn't there a risk that they'll hit their heads on the roof when they jump?
Don't worry! The risk is really small for kids aged 3 to 12. Once it's in place, there's 2.5 m between the top of the dome and the trampoline bed (2 m pole and 0.5 m dome). Our 240 trampolines are designed for kids between 96 and 149 cm tall, and the average jump height on a trampoline is around 1 m. In summary, they'll be fine!
Is this dome compatible with all Decathlon trampolines?
This protective roof is compatible with the Decathlon 240 round (ref. 8799831) and 240 hexagonal (ref. 8605632) trampolines, as well as their previous versions.
This dome can only be installed on a trampoline that has been weighed down using either an anchor kit (ref. 8377282) or weighted bags (ref. 8751885), which are sold separately. Doing so will make sure the dome withstands gusts of up to 50 km/h.
Is this roof easy to put on the trampoline and take off?
Once you've weighed your trampoline down, you can put the dome on and take it off in just a few minutes with no tools at all. The roof has a freestanding arched structure that's created by inserting three fibreglass rods into the slots. Just like with a tent. Once you've done that, place the dome on top of the net. Fix the rods to the 240 trampoline using the six buckles at the top of the trampoline's poles. To take it down, just do the opposite.
