What are sailing gloves good for in the summer?
Sailing gloves or mittens help to avoid discomfort (or even injury) caused by rubbing against ropes or during manoeuvres. Water softens skin and makes it more fragile.
These gloves with 2 short fingers are essential, even in summer!
Gloves, mittens, 2 short fingers: WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Fingerless gloves are often used in summer to protect your hands while leaving your fingers free to move, and without letting your hands get too hot. Only 2 cut finger gloves keep more heat in when the weather is cooler, without compromising the dexterity of the index and thumb to perform intricate manoeuvres when sailing.
For multiple water sports!
These gloves are designed with professional skippers in the biggest ocean races. We have also taken into account the constraints of dinghy sailing. Our design choices make them compatible with other sports, such as stand up paddling, windsurfing, windsurfing and canoeing.
Materials and design
The leather is placed on the fingers for strength. Reinforcements on the friction parts.
Duragrip (coated polyurethane) protects the palm from abrasion while providing excellent grip.
The material on the back of the hand is a knitted fabric with elastane, for natural ventilation and a light weight that will make you forget you are wearing gloves during summer sailing trips.
Neoprene on the wrist for support and ease of donning.
Design
The 900 gloves feature a pull tab at the end of the thumb for easy removal.
