| WARMTH OF THE GLOVES |
All our gloves are laboratory tested using a "thermal hand". The minimum temperature ratings (recommended and limit) are based on a study carried out on a panel of 23 testers exposed to temperatures ranging from 5°C to -20°C and a wind of 10 km/h while walking.
For the Sprint glove:
- Recommended temperature = -5°C
- Lower temperature limit = -11°C |
| WATERPROOFING OF THE GLOVES |
We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure resistance, the more waterproof the fabric.
Waterproof rating of Sprint gloves: our gloves are made with a membrane that can withstand a pressure of 10,000 mm after 5 washes. |
| DEXTERITY AND RESISTANCE OF THE GLOVE |
The preformed construction for hands and fingers enable precision ice axe or rope handling.
The palm is in full-grain leather and the seams have been positioned over the areas least prone to rubbing, offering greater resistance and a longer life span.
The fingertip structure allows for an excellent guarantee of dexterity and grip. The Pittards® reinforcements improve the grip further and boost resistance. |
