Waist Trimmers / Sweat Belts

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find options in slimming/sweat belts, designed to enhance sweating in the abdominal area during exercise. They are made from flexible, durable materials that offer comfort and freedom of movement. For even more complete results in your workout, you can pair one with a skipping rope for cardio burning or a fitness mat for core exercises!

A sweat belt works by trapping the heat generated by your body locally around the waist and abdominal area during physical activity. This localized increase in temperature stimulates the sweat glands, causing increased perspiration and fluid loss. At the same time, it provides a light sense of support and warmth to the lower back muscles.

It is important to know that fat loss does not happen locally. A sweat belt causes increased fluid loss through sweat and improves local blood circulation, which can give you a feeling of a "tighter" area immediately after exercise. However, for actual fat burning, the belt works as a complementary tool in combination with regular aerobic exercise and a balanced diet.

It is recommended to wear the belt exclusively during your workout, usually for 30 to 60 minutes. Remove it immediately after completing your exercise to allow your skin to breathe. Avoid wearing it for excessively long hours or while sleeping, as prolonged sweat accumulation can cause skin irritation.

Most sweat belts feature a "One Size" design or an adjustable closure system with strong velcro, allowing you to customize the tightness precisely to your waist measurements. Position it around your abdomen so it fits securely without folding, while taking care not to tighten it excessively to the point where it restricts your breathing or freedom of movement.

Due to the large amount of sweat it absorbs, the belt needs cleaning after every use. Washing should be done by hand with cold or lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Afterwards, wipe it down with a towel and let it dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. Do not put it in the washing machine or tumble dryer, and avoid wringing it out, as this can damage its material.
