Can I find workout racks available on decathlon.com.gr?

Of course! On decathlon.com.gr you will find a wide variety of power racks and weightlifting stands, designed to provide versatility and safety for your workouts. Discover standalone power racks, folding/wall-mounted stands, as well as barbell support attachments and spare parts.

What is a power rack and how does it differ from a squat stand?

The main difference lies in structure and safety enclosure:
A Power Rack consists of 2 open upright posts (freestanding or connected to a base/wall) without enclosing you in a cage. It is the smartest choice for a home gym as it occupies minimal space, offers total freedom of movement, and often folds against the wall.
A Squat Stand (Power Cage) features 4 posts forming an enclosed frame. It offers full-cage protection but requires much more permanent floor space and room volume.

What ceiling height does a power rack require?

Most Decathlon racks and stands range in height from 1.80m to 2.15m, making them ideal even for rooms with low ceilings. For comfortable workouts, a minimum ceiling height of 2.20m to 2.35m is recommended to allow sufficient head clearance.

Is it safe to perform squats and bench presses alone on a power rack?

Yes, provided you use the proper safety supports! Decathlon racks feature adjustable left and right safety spotter arms. By setting them at the correct height—just a few centimeters below the lowest point of your movement—you can perform squats and bench presses alone at home, safely resting the barbell on the spotters if you reach failure.

Which accessories can I add to a power rack for a full-body workout?

You can upgrade your power rack by adding specialized Decathlon accessories:
Dip supports: For training chest and triceps.
Smart Landmine (T-bar attachment): For row exercises and rotational core work with a barbell.
Jammer Arms: For explosive presses and pulls.
Adjustable weight bench: To execute all variations of chest and shoulder presses.

Do I need to anchor the power rack to the floor?

It depends on the type of rack you choose.
There are folding wall-mounted racks that strictly require secure anchoring into a solid wall for maximum stability.
You can also opt for freestanding floor power racks that feature a wide support base and often do not require floor bolting for standard loads. However, bolting to the ground or adding weight plates to dedicated storage pegs provides ultimate stability during workouts.
