Dips are one of the most effective compound exercises for the upper body. They primarily target the chest (especially the lower chest), triceps, and anterior deltoids, while intensely engaging the core and stabilizing muscles to maintain balance. Depending on your body lean, you can focus more on the chest (leaning slightly forward) or the triceps (keeping your torso vertical).

Alternatively, you can lightly rest the tips of your toes on the floor or on a step/box to offload part of your body weight, gradually building the strength you need!
