Push-Up Handles

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find a curated selection of push-up bars and multifunctional equipment, such as ergonomic push-up handles, unstable-base handles for advanced core activation, and folding multi-use push-up boards. This gear easily adapts to your fitness level, allowing you to vary your execution angles and target different muscle groups. To elevate your workout, you can pair them with a fitness mat for greater comfort or a weighted vest to increase resistance during your push-ups!

Push-up bars significantly upgrade the quality of your workout, as they allow you to go lower and increase your range of motion, providing deeper activation in the chest, shoulders, and triceps. At the same time, they keep your joints in a natural, neutral position, offering a firmer grip and preventing discomfort. By choosing the right push-up bars, you can execute your exercises with greater safety and efficiency, while you can pair them with resistance bands to add an extra challenge on the way up!

Yes, this is one of their most significant advantages. When doing push-ups directly on the floor, your wrists are in full extension (a 90° angle), which can cause discomfort. With push-up bars, the joint is kept in a straight, neutral position, drastically reducing strain. For even greater joint protection, you can supplement your workout with wrist straps that offer additional stabilization.

For slippery surfaces like tile or hardwood, ideal push-up bars feature a non-slip rubber base or special TPR material that grips the ground without sliding. The push-up bars in our collection are designed to offer maximum grip and stability on every floor type. If you want total certainty, you can place them on a protective floor mat/interlocking tile or a non-slip exercise mat.

With rotating handles, you start in the initial position with your palms facing inward (neutral grip). As you lower your body, you slightly rotate the handles so your palms turn backward, and on the way up, you return them to the starting position. This natural rotation reduces pressure on the shoulders and wrists while allowing a deeper contraction in the chest. To keep your body in a straight line during the rotation, you can wear a core support belt or focus on tight abdominal engagement.

Absolutely! Push-up bars are excellent for beginners, as they protect wrists from pain and help in learning proper body posture. In fact, a beginner can use them by performing knee push-ups for ease. This way, you gradually build the strength and technique you need without straining your joints right from your very first workouts.
