Can I find SUP life jackets on decathlon.com.gr?

Absolutely! At Decathlon Greece, you’ll find SUP life jackets designed to provide safety and comfort on the water, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddleboarder. Discover countless options for adults and children, in a variety of colors and sizes, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs!

Which SUP life jackets are suitable for adults and children?

At decathlon.com.gr, you’ll find SUP life jackets suitable for both adults and children, designed for comfort, safety, and stability on the water. Children’s life jackets feature ergonomic designs with adjustable straps and around 50N of buoyancy, keeping young paddlers safe during SUP and other water activities. Adult life jackets offer higher buoyancy and additional support straps for a comfortable fit and torso stability. Adjustable life jackets are ideal for family use, accommodating different weights and sizes to ensure that every user, child or adult, stays safe and comfortable on the SUP.

What is the difference between a kayak life jacket and a SUP life jacket?

The main difference lies in design and intended use. Kayak life jackets are usually shorter, low-profile, and limit torso movement since you are seated and need security without restricting paddling. SUP life jackets, on the other hand, have an ergonomic design that allows full freedom of shoulder and torso movement while standing on the board. SUP life jackets focus on comfortable support, stability during paddling, and proper buoyancy in case of a fall. They often include adjustable straps and a more flexible fit for different user sizes.

How do I choose the right size SUP life jacket?

To choose the right size, consider your weight and height to ensure proper buoyancy, comfort, and safety. SUP life jackets should fit snugly without restricting shoulder and torso movement during paddling. Adjustable straps or Velcro allow for a personalized fit. For children, select a life jacket with appropriate buoyancy and weight specifications to keep them safe in the water. Always refer to the sizing guide on the product page to find the ideal fit for yourself or your children, combining safety, comfort, and proper support for every SUP outing.

How do I maintain and store my SUP life jacket?

To maintain and store your SUP life jacket, rinse it with fresh water after each use in the sea or pool to remove salt, chlorine, and sand that can damage the materials. Let it air-dry naturally in a shaded area, avoiding sunlight and heat, which can affect elasticity and color. Do not fold it tightly or place heavy objects on it, as it may deform. Store it in a clean, dry, and cool place, away from sharp surfaces and chemicals, to keep it comfortable, safe, and ready for use every time you go SUPing. Following these simple habits will extend the life of your life jacket and maintain its proper buoyancy on the water.
