Opening/closing mechanism
With their 4 buckles, these children's ski boots are both precise and easy to adjust. 4 positions on the instep and 6 positions on the shin. The velcro strap + micrometric hook further increase the precision of adjustment.
How do you know if the boot is the right size for your child?
Put the boots on, close the buckles and ask your child to do three flexes, hands on the knees. When standing upright, their toes will touch the end of the shell. When flexing, the foot moves backwards and the toes no longer touch.
What is “Mondopoint” sizing?
The size of a ski boot doesn’t translate the same way as for normal shoes: we refer to “Mondopoint” sizing. This is the measurement used by almost all equipment suppliers, which simply corresponds to the size of your feet in centimetres.
What is the flex?
The flex is an indicator of rigidity: the higher its value, the stiffer the shell.
For these Head Raptor boots, the flex level is 60, ideal for beginner and advanced children to progress, while also ensuring a high level of comfort.
What should you do if you experience foot pain?
Choose a technical ski sock that’s thin so it prevents pressure points and promotes blood circulation in the foot. Choose a sole adapted to the shape of your foot to prevent it from getting crushed or bumping against the shell. Ask a sales assistant or an assistant in the shop for advice.
