What can you repair with these patches?
These patches are ideal for rapidly giving your preferred stretch fabric materials a new lease of life. They effectively seal holes and tears up to 4 cm on stretch fabrics and flat surfaces. They can also be used with synthetic fibres, merino wool, cotton and neoprene.
How strong are these patches?
These patches can withstand 10 washes at 30°C without weakening. They offer a waterproofing capacity of 10,000 mm H2O, tested in the laboratory. Their elasticity resistance has been validated over 2,000 cycles at 120% stretch. To provide an example, a squat in leggings represents stretch of around 60% to 80%.
What does this patch kit contain?
This kit contains 4 black patches that have been designed especially for stretch materials:
- 2 rectangular patches - 60 x 40 mm
- 2 round patches - 30 mm
How to apply the repair patches
1. clean and dry the area with holes.
2. peel off the patch without touching the adhesive.
3. Apply the patch to the surface.
4. Press down hard, moving from the centre towards the edges. 5. Wait for 5 mins before using the product.
Patch too big? Cut a round shape, keeping a margin of at least 1 cm around the hole. This margin is vital to ensure the patch remains in place over time.
How can you make the repair less visible?
You can apply the patch to the inside of the material for a more hidden repair. Application on the inside makes the repair almost invisible from the outside, while maintaining the effectiveness of the patch.
What tips can you use to make the patch last longer on your waterproof products?
For better adhesion to waterproof products, preferably apply the patch to the inside of the textile where possible. Application on the inside optimises the patch’s hold and ensures a stronger repair.
