What does this patch kit contain? |
This complete and versatile repair kit contains:
- Two transparent rectangular patches (6 cm x 4 cm): perfect for linear tearing
- Two transparent round patches (5 cm diameter): ideal for holes or small perforations
These patches will help you deal with any situation. |
What can these patches repair? |
Real Swiss knives for your repairs. These versatile patches can be used to repair all your inflatable and waterproof products: pools, buoys, inflatable mattress, water bladders, jerrycans, watertight phone pouches and even children’s inflatable toys. |
How strong is the repair patch? |
Rated IPX8, this patch can be submerged to a depth of 1 m without any problem. It is also airtight at low pressure and suitable for equipment that is in contact with food. |
What are the restrictions of use? |
Please note that these patches are not suitable for:
- Safety equipment (armbands, inflatable jackets, PPE)
- High-pressure products (stand-up paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, pressure showers)
- Self-inflating mattresses
- Leaks near joints (- 1 cm)
- Cuts larger than 1 cm
It is forbidden to use it on PPE, for safety reasons. |
How to apply the repair patches |
1. For inflatable products, locate the leak with soapy water. For products containing water, fill the product and locate the leak using a paper towel to soak up any water leaking from the product.
2. Clean and dry the area.
2. Peel off the patch without touching the adhesive.
3. Apply strong pressure for 30 seconds for maximum stick.
4. Wait 30 minutes before using your product.
Pro tip: the longer you wait, the stronger it becomes! |
Which products are compatible? |
This patch has been tested and approved on our products: inflatable mattresses, inflatable toys, water bladders, solar showers, waterproof phone pouches, jerrycans, airbasics, tidipools.
But it's also perfectly suited to many other products.
However, it is not suitable for high-pressure showers, paddle boards or laminated trekking mattresses. |
How do you locate a leak? |
1. For inflatable products, locate the leak with soapy water.
2. On products containing water, such as swimming pools, jerrycans or water bladders: Fill the product with water and locate where it is leaking. If necessary, use absorbent paper to target the leak. |
What are our other tips? |
If the hole is on a raised surface or close to a seam, it's best to use seam grip repair glue.
For mattresses, we recommend sanding the hairy side before applying the patch. |
