Design
To develop and enrich our range of football goals with increasingly innovative models, I work in close collaboration with an engineer and a product designer. For the Classic Goal range, based on customer feedback, we focused on recreating the feel of playing with a real goal while making sure the product was durable, safe and of good quality.
Designed for playing longer
This goal resists impacts better thanks to the reinforced corners, metal attachments, and more durable round tube.
It is also protected from rust for 5 years thanks to a rust-resistant treatment and more durable paint.
The result? It withstands 3 times more shots than our previous models and holds up for at least 5 years of normal use.
Durability Test
We are lucky enough to work with an in-house mechanics lab (on the B'twin Village site) that lets us validate the design of our goals before we put them into production.
For example, to assess a product's solidity, we perform load tests in our laboratory that reproduce the weight of a child. During this test, we apply a 35 kg load to the goal to check that it doesn't deform.
