What does E-FL 900 mean?
The "e" means that this is an electrical assistance bike.
"FL" stands for "FOLD'' and "LIGHT".
We designed this bike for anyone seeking a FOLDING e-bike that's ultra-compact and LIGHT. It's sure to become your greatest ally: you'll love the way it handles as you take it with your everywhere, fitting it into the tightest spaces.
The E FL 900 gives you total freedom to improvise, whatever you feel like doing, wherever you want to go.

3 levels of assistance to manage your effort level
You can choose from 3 levels of assistance at any time. Press the 'up' or 'down' button on the controller located on the left of the handlebar to switch between modes.
Mode 0 (white led)– Assistance switched off
Mode 1(green led)- Eco mode.Gentle assistance
Mode 2 (orange led) - Moderate assistance for slight inclines for example
Mode 3 (purple led)- Maximum assistance for harder climbs.
Choose the default assistance mode when you switch your bike on via the app.
Up to 55 km of range with your folding e-bike
The battery range varies depending on the weight being transported (user + load), the elevation gain, the wind and the outside temperature.
Our tests enabled us to assess the maximum battery range on fairly flat terrain and without charging.
Mode 1: Up to 55 km
Mode 2:up to 30km (19 miles) up to 25 km (16 miles)
Functions of the remote control
The remote control with its 2 buttons is on the left side of the bike's handlebars.
Actions:
- Select the assistance mode
- Switch the lights on/off. Hold the top button down for 3 sec.
- ''Pedestrian mode''. Providing slight assistance to move the bike more easily when you're on foot (eg.getting out of the garage on a slope or a bike access ramp in a station).Hold the bottom button down for a while.
Connect your bike to your phone to receive info about speed, range, distance.

Secure your bike with the app
From the main screen of your app, once the bike is connected, the ‘padlock’ button enables you to disable the electric assistance and software settings of the bike for anyone trying to use it with or without the app.
With the lock activated, only you can unlock it.
This electric lock does not affect the mechanics of the e-bike.
However, we recommend that you also use a mechanical anti-theft device (U-lock, chain).
Support smartphone
Not supplied with the bike.
This leaves you free to use the one you may already have to use your smartphone as the best control screen available.
FRAME
6061 T6 aluminium frame that's lightweight, dynamic and sturdy.
The frame hinge locks in 1 second. This is a patented system exclusive to Decathlon.
Fork
Single-arm, 6061-T6 aluminium frame for less weight and more strength.
The single-arm fork design makes the bike incredibly narrow when folded.
In fact, it's only 41 cm wide. That's 25% more compact than our 20" folding bikes.
Inbuilt lighting
The lights are powered by the bike's battery.
They turn on automatically when you switch the battery on.
- Front beam: Power of 30 Lux, to see properly on poorly lit roads.

Even you've run out of electrical assistance, there is backup power to keep your lights on for 2h, allowing you to get home safely (=compliant with regulations).

Tips for running in your disc brakes.
When your bike comes out of the shop, the pads and discs are new, so braking performance is very poor.
Continuous heavy cold braking (e.g. downhill) can lead to overheating and 'icing' of the pads, making the brakes much less effective.
Break-in is achieved after 10 brake applications per brake (rear then front).
One brake application represents a sharp deceleration from 25 to 5 km/h without locking the wheel (= don't brake so hard that you stop the bike).

There is a mechanical stop to reduce the risk of saddle theft.
The handle under the saddle makes the bike easy to grip when moving it and guiding it one-handed when in a folded position.
SEAT POST

- Marked so that you instantly know exactly where to set it to each time for the most efficient ride.
- Turns into a stand when you lower it fully so that the bike remains stable once folded.
- A mechanical stop works as an anti-theft device by preventing removal of the saddle without the use of a tool.

The 16" wheel size is perfect for a great bike that's very compact.

These air-cushion tyres work as natural suspension.At about 2.4 bar, you'll ride along marvellously well and enjoy full suspension.

Pedals
Folding pedals so that the bike is even more compact when folded.
Bike stability
- Adjustable stand with a button to adjust the length. Keeps the bike standing when unfolded (whether or not the bike has a luggage rack).
- There is a plinth under the frame to place the bike on when folding it up and protect the bottom bracket.
- The bottom of the seat post turns into a stand if you lower it all the way when folding the bike. This keeps the bike incredibly stable when it's folded so that you can put it away or take it on public transport.
How can you carry your bags?
The bike comes with mounting points on the frame (above the front wheel).
These mounting points can be used to attach a luggage rack exclusively designed by the B'Twin teams.
It can be clipped on and taken off with 1 hand in 1 second.
As it sits on the frame, you won't notice its weight and the bike will remain stable.
This translates into optimal handling, no load on your back, and no perspiration.

Fastening system
The E-FL 900" is held in its folded position by a brand-new system.
New magnets located at the front wheel hub and on the rear left base of the frame keep the bicycle's wheels parallel.
Once folded, the stem is held against the frame by a clip system.
Essentail for the wheels to remain properly aligned.
This clever system allows you to push your bike when it's folded, and to carry it without a second thought.
The bike rolls when folded
YES, the Fold Light 900" rolls along nicely when folded!
You only need to carry it when absolutely necessary. In other words, when you come across a staircase or need to put it in a train luggage rack or car boot.
The rest of the time, you can easily move it by simply pushing it along, even when folded.
Leave the seatpost in its raised position and use one hand to steer it anywhere, even in busy pedestrian zones (e.g. train station, shop, bar and restaurant).

/!\ It's important to always look to make sure the hinges on your frame and stem are locked in place before you ride.
/!\ If you store your bike outdoors without the battery, make absolutely sure that you put the orange cap on to protect the connector the battery plugs into.
