TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Which balls can you use with this rack?

This rack enables you to position 15 pool balls (coloured, numbered, solid or striped) with a 57.2 mm diameter.
It can also be used on the BT 700 US billiards table and all other standard pool tables.

Not suitable with

This rack is not designed for positioning balls smaller than 57.2 mm, like English billiards balls (50.8 mm) that are used on the BT 700 UK billiards table. We also do not recommend this rack for the balls used on the BT 100 billiards table or the BT 500 fold-down table (44 mm). The rack will be too large and there will be space between your balls.

How to position your billiards balls for 8-ball

There are different games practised within pool: 8-ball (the most popular), 9-ball, 10-ball and straight pool.

For 8-ball, you need to put the 8 ball at the centre and the two balls at the bottom corners should not belong to the same family: solid or striped ball (which goes where doesn't matter).
The 12 balls remaining can be placed randomly (yes, even the one at the head of the rack).

How to rack balls for 9-ball and 10-ball

In 9-ball, as the name indicates, you play with the balls numbered 1 to 9.
The balls should be positioned in a diamond. The 9 ball should be at the centre and the 1 ball is at the head of the diamond. The other balls should be placed randomly.

In 10-ball, you play with the balls numbered 1 through 10. The 10 should be at the centre and the 1 at the head of the rack. The others can be placed randomly.

Where should you place your rack on the billiards table

In pool, once the balls are placed in the rack, the ball at the head of the rack should be at the intersection of the 2 diagonals formed by the 4 first pockets. Now it's time to break!
