Setting it up is simple, as long as you find two sturdy points (usually trees) spaced about 3 to 5 meters apart. Wrap the ropes around the tree trunks at a height of about 1.5 to 1.8 meters from the ground and secure them with a reliable knot, or onto dedicated straps if you have them. Hang the hammock using the carabiners and remember that when you sit in its center, its lowest point should be around 30 to 50 centimeters off the ground (chair height) so you can get in and out easily. Finally, make sure the area beneath the hammock is free of sharp rocks, branches, or the campfire!
