Can I find double hammocks available on decathlon.com.gr?

Yes, on decathlon.com.gr you will find excellent double hammocks, designed to provide maximum comfort and relaxation in nature, at the campsite, or in your garden. They are the season's best-sellers as they are extremely spacious, lightweight, set up in just a few minutes, and pack away into an integrated small carry pouch so you can easily take them anywhere.

How much weight can a double hammock hold?

Decathlon's double hammocks are exceptionally durable and laboratory-tested to support a maximum weight of up to 220 kg. This means they can safely accommodate two adults for relaxing, or a single adult who wants to enjoy plenty of space and extra comfort.

How do I properly hang a double hammock between trees?

To hang your hammock safely, follow these simple steps:
Choose two sturdy, healthy trees spaced approximately 3 to 5 meters apart.
Wrap the straps or ropes around the trunks at a height of about 1.5 to 1.8 meters from the ground.
Follow the "Banana Rule" to achieve the correct sag. This means you shouldn't pull your hammock completely taut; remember it needs to maintain a gentle curve. When you sit in it, the lowest point should be roughly 40 to 50 centimeters off the ground (about the height of a chair), making it easy to get in and out.
By following these steps, you will enjoy your hammock with absolute safety!

What materials are used in double camping hammocks?

Decathlon's camping hammocks are manufactured from 100% Ripstop polyester. This material is selected because it is incredibly lightweight and soft to the touch, dries very quickly if it gets wet, and most importantly, features a specialized weave that prevents the fabric from tearing or unraveling even if accidentally scratched. The included ropes and carabiners are also made from heavy-duty, high-strength materials for guaranteed safety.

Are double hammocks suitable for sleeping outdoors overnight?

Yes, they are ideal for an afternoon nap in the shade or for lounging. However, if you plan to spend the entire night in a hammock in the wild, you should keep the following in mind:
The correct way to lie flat and ergonomically in a double hammock is diagonally. If you lie exactly in line with the anchor rope, your body will bend into a C-shape and you will wake up with aches.
Even in the summer, the breeze underneath will make you cold. You will need to place a camping mattress or a specialized hammock underquilt for insulation, as well as a mosquito net to protect yourself from bugs.
If you take all this into account, you will enjoy an amazing night's sleep!
