Tent Repair Patches

Yes, on decathlon.com.gr you will find specialized adhesive repair patches, specifically designed to always have with you as an essential camping "first aid kit," allowing you to fix any sudden rip or hole instantly and on the spot at the mountain or the beach, without needing to interrupt your holidays.

The process is extremely simple and fast, provided you follow the right steps! Start by thoroughly cleaning the area around the tear from dust, dirt, or moisture and let it dry completely. Cut the adhesive patch to your desired size, making sure it covers the rip with a margin of at least 2-3 centimeters all around. A good tip is to round the corners of the patch with scissors to prevent them from peeling off easily due to friction. Then, spread the tent fabric on a smooth, hard surface, remove the protective backing film, and stick the patch on, pressing it firmly from the center toward the edges to squeeze out any air bubbles. By doing the above carefully, you will easily and quickly repair your tent wherever you are!

Of course! Decathlon's repair patches are 100% waterproof and feature an exceptionally strong, water-resistant adhesive surface. Once applied correctly, they hermetically seal the hole, preventing rain, morning dew, or wind from passing into the interior of the tent, thereby maintaining the waterproofing of the flysheet.

Our adhesive patches are universal and can be applied with great success to most synthetic fabrics used in camping, such as polyester and nylon. In addition to the outer rainfly of the tent, you can use them to patch waterproof backpacks, awnings, and even insulated jackets or windbreakers.

Although considered an emergency solution, the glue on our tent patches is so strong that the repair can last for many years or even for the entire lifespan of the tent, if it has been placed on a clean surface. The patch withstands water, fabric folds during packing, and hot summer temperatures.

It depends on the specific spot of the bedroom compartment! On the groundsheet/floor, you can comfortably use a patch, as it is thick, synthetic, and waterproof, so the patch will stick perfectly and stop ground moisture. For maximum security, we recommend placing a patch on both the inner and outer sides of the floor.
On the walls, if the tear is on the fabric sections of the bedroom, the patch will adhere well. However, if the tear is on the mesh/mosquito net, the adhesive will not find enough surface area to stick. In this case, the best solution is a quick stitch with a needle and thread.
