Are kids' sailing fleeces available at decathlon.com.gr?

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find a large collection of kids' sailing fleeces, specially designed to offer warmth, comfort, and freedom of movement to children during sailing and activities at sea.

From what age are kids' sailing fleeces suitable and how do I choose the right size?

Kids' fleeces are available for children from 4 to 14-16 years old, and selecting the right size is calculated based on the child's height in centimeters (cm) rather than age alone. For example, a fleece for ages 8-9 usually corresponds to a height of about 131-140 cm. In any case, you can consult the page of the product you are interested in and, with the help of the size guide, choose the ideal size for your child.
Tip: Since fleeces are often worn over a thermal layer or another top, if your child is between two sizes, opt for the larger one for a more comfortable fit.

How warm are kids' sailing fleeces for use in cold conditions?

Kids' fleeces offer excellent thermal insulation thanks to the special weave of the fabric that traps air inside, creating a natural protective thermal layer. Along with warmth, they wick moisture from sweat away to the outside so the child does not get cold when stopping activity. They can also be worn as an intermediate layer in combination with an outer waterproof/windproof jacket, offering complete protection even in very cold or windy conditions.

Can kids' sailing fleeces be used for other outdoor sports?

Yes, they are extremely versatile! Although designed for the demands of the sea, their durability, warmth, and lightweight construction make them ideal for hiking and nature walks, camping, as well as everyday school activities or playtime on cold days of the year.

How do I properly wash kids' sailing fleeces without ruining their quality?

Proper care is key to keeping the fabric soft and warm like new. Turn the kids' fleece inside out to prevent pilling, and wash it at 30°C on a synthetic or delicate cycle. Remember not to use fabric softener, as it destroys the technical breathable fibers and the thermal insulation capacity of the fabric. Let it dry naturally and avoid the tumble dryer as well as direct exposure to the sun and heat sources. Fleece dries very quickly in the air, so it will be ready for the next outing in no time!
