Can I find women's sailing polo shirts, softshells & fleeces at decathlon.com.gr?

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find a complete collection of women's sailing clothing for all your adventures and needs. The range includes technical women's polo shirts, lightweight and warm fleeces, as well as windproof softshell jackets, specifically designed for the demands of sailing and water sports.

What is the difference between a women's sailing polo shirt and a regular athletic t-shirt?

Women's sailing polo shirts differ significantly from regular athletic t-shirts. Sailing polo shirts ensure extra resistance to salt and friction, and their fabrics are more durable. They also feature built-in UV protection from the sun (usually UPF 40+ to UPF 50+) so you can stay worry-free even during prolonged exposure at sea, while offering quick drying as they are made from technical synthetic materials or special cotton blends that dry extremely fast if they get wet. Finally, their ergonomic collar protects the neck from the sun, while their fit offers freedom of movement without excess fabric hanging.

Can I wear a women's sailing fleece as a mid-layer under a jacket?

Yes, and in fact, it is the ideal way to wear it! In the three-layer clothing system, the women's sailing fleece works as the second/intermediate layer (mid-layer). It traps body heat providing a warm feeling, while maintaining high breathability to wick moisture from sweat away toward the outer waterproof jacket.

Will I find women's sailing polo shirts in different colors and sizes?

Yes, you will discover a wide variety of women's polo shirts! Decathlon's women's polo shirts are available in classic colors, such as navy blue, white, red, light blue, as well as in brighter shades. Sizes usually range from XS to 3XL, offering a great fit for every body type.

How do I properly care for women's sailing softshells and fleeces after use at sea?

To keep your technical clothes looking like new, after every use at sea, rinse them with fresh water to remove salt that crystallizes and damages the fibers and membranes. Wash them at 30°C on a delicate/synthetic cycle with mild detergent, and remember not to use fabric softener, as it ruins the technical breathable fibers and the windproof/water-repellent coating of the softshell. Then, let them dry naturally in the shade, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, and never put them in the tumble dryer.
Tip: Consult each product page on decathlon.com.gr to see the exact care instructions!
