Running GPS Watches & Smartwatches

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find dozens of sports running watches from top brands, designed to accurately track every workout. We offer everything from simple sports stopwatches to advanced GPS smartwatches with built-in wrist heart rate monitors, which you can pair perfectly with running headphones or a heart rate belt for even more specialized metrics, upgrading your experience on every route!

For systematic and targeted training, a sports watch must feature a built-in GPS receiver for accurate calculation of distance, speed, and pace, as well as a heart rate sensor. Additionally, essential features include interval training programming, VO2max measurement, recovery time estimation, and easy connectivity (Bluetooth/ANT+) with apps such as Strava and the Decathlon Coach app.

Modern GPS sports watches offer exceptionally high accuracy, utilizing multiple satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) and Dual-Frequency GPS technologies. This enables the watch to record your route within a margin of error of just a few meters, even in challenging environments like dense forests, mountain trails, or among tall city buildings.

Optical wrist sensors (optical HR) in modern sports watches offer very high reliability for daily workouts and steady-pace runs. However, during workouts with sudden changes in intensity (such as sprints or interval training), wrist readings may experience a slight response lag. If you are looking for second-by-second precision, connecting the watch to an external chest heart rate strap is recommended.

Battery life varies depending on usage and model: in full GPS tracking mode, most watches offer from 15 up to 40+ hours of continuous recording, easily covering marathons or ultra-trail races. In daily smartwatch mode (with heart rate and step tracking but without GPS), the battery lasts from 7 to 20 days on a single charge, freeing you from daily charging worries.
