This helmet is equipped with a double-patented innovation: Visor +.
The visor+ helmets allow you to wear a visor or remove it to wear a mask, depending on your personal preference. The visor (ISO 18527-1 standard) is easily interchangeable.
MIPS® technology reduces rotational energy from an impact and limits the risk of brain injury.
The low-friction layer (yellow layer under the helmet liner) allows multi-directional movement of 10 to 15mm with certain oblique shocks. This is to reduce the rotational force transmitted to the head and brain.
The visor is a great choice if you wear glasses, but also if you don’t: it really widens your field of vision.
In addition to being suitable for wearing over glasses while skiing, the visor widens the field of vision by 25% horizontally and 7% vertically. This allows you to anticipate better and not miss a thing, for more fun and safety!
The visor is HD, so you can see the mountains in high definition.
By increasing contrast, HD technology provides excellent vision quality. This offers real comfort and ensures better visibility of contours, giving you greater ability to anticipate hazards.
The visor is interchangeable to suit weather conditions or personal preferences.
In the mountains, it is essential to have a suitable visor. This good weather visor (S3) is opaque enough to protect your eyes from UV rays and allow you to see contrasts clearly. The flash (outer colour of the screen) does not affect your vision, only the design.
The Visor+ system can be repaired.
If broken, our Visor+ system can be repaired. It is sold separately so you can refit it at home. If you have any questions, please visit your nearest store.
ABS shell.
The helmet is made of a rigid ABS shell and an internal EPS liner to absorb impacts.
How to choose the right size and trying on your helmet
Measure the circumference of your head (from the middle of your forehead to the top of your ears) and choose the right size. When trying on the helmet, you should not feel any discomfort. If the helmet does not have a visor, try it on with a pair of goggles: There should be no gaps between the two.
Adjust your helmet once you have the right size.
For your safety, your ski helmet must be properly adjusted:
- The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening dial.
- The chin strap must be correctly adjusted. You should be able to fit two fingers between the strap and your skin. If the helmet is poorly fitted, it will provide less protection.
When should you replace your ski helmet?
We recommend changing your ski helmet every 5 years, unless it’s sustained a significant impact in the meantime. In the event of a strong impact, the helmet must be replaced: even if it is not visible, the internal material may be damaged and your helmet will provide less protection.
A helmet keeps you warm: it is not necessary, and even discouraged, to wear a hat underneath.
Avoid wearing a hat, as this will create a gap between your head and your helmet and reduce your protection. If necessary, opt for a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose.
Avoid putting a camera on the helmet, as this will compromise your safety; The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet.
This helmet complies with European standard EN 1077:2007, applicable to helmets used for alpine skiing and snowboarding.
It is characterised by its shock absorption capacity and penetration resistance. There are two categories of protection:
- Class A: the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and sides of the head.
- Class B: the top and back of the head, but not the ears.
