| What is the breathability rating of this jacket? |
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the JIS L 1099 B1 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability.
It is considered that if:- RET < 9 = highly breathable fabric
- 9 < RET < 12 = breathable fabric.
The breathability qualities of this jacket:
- RET < 8 for the main fabric
- RET < 12 for the secondary fabric |
| How many pockets does this jacket have? |
This jacket has two hand rest pockets, with a watertight YKK AquaGuard zip. Accessible even when wearing a bag on your back.
There is a mesh pocket for a mobile phone inside the right pocket to keep it safe and prevent it from falling out when you open your pocket. |

- Features a waterproof YKK AquaGuard zip along the entire length with an inside flap providing protection from the wind.
- Double slide lets you open the jacket from the bottom.

| What is the waterproofing rating of the fabrics used? |
This jacket has two waterproof components (norm JIS L 1092):
- The main fabric is highly waterproof. It is resistant to 20,000 mm of water (Schmerber rating) before washing
- The secondary fabric on the reinforced sections is also resistant to 20,000 mm of water (Schmerber rating) before washing. |
| How does this jacket provide optimal protection? |
This hybrid jacket combines two fabrics:
- A durable and protective fabric (155 g/m2; 70 denier) on the areas to be protected from friction (shoulders, outside of the sleeves, bottom of the garment at the front and back)
- A light and breathable fabric (102 g/sqm; 20 denier) on the rest of the jacket.
This asymmetric jacket is made from a slightly longer back than the front, ensuring maximum protection in all your movements, when in action or bivouacking. |
