Are they warm enough for winter?
Our boots have been tested by our testers, in the lab and in the field, so we can provide you with the very best! They keep your feet warm at -5°C in chill mode and -19°C in action mode. And that involves taking into account variations in how girls and boys feel the cold differently!
Do they protect your feet in all conditions?
These boots feature an ultra-thin waterproof and breathable membrane, providing comfort in light rain and snow during your walks in nature. Even in winter, your feet will stay dry and warm.
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your boots is based on their ability to keep your feet warm and dry. This allows for good air circulation, reducing moisture build-up. These boots are designed for occasional use, and the waterproof membrane repels unpleasant water intrusion.
Are they 100% waterproof?
We ensure that your boots are waterproof through laboratory testing. We carry out simulations that involve partially submerging feet in water, as well as use and wear-and-tear tests under different conditions.
Grip or traction? The differences
For grip, think of the crampons on the boots as claws that grip the ground when climbing.
For traction, the grooves under the soles act like car tyres, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With these boots, you can tackle winter terrain like a pro!
What does SnowContact technology offer?
SnowContact soles are made from specific materials and feature a specially designed crampon pattern for excellent grip and traction. They are more effective on snow than traditional soles, but remember to add anti-slip grips if you are using on ice only.
How durable are they?
Our engineers carry out tests to ensure that our products are up to the job! They test everything: strap strength, bonding, UV resistance, abrasion and even how it stands the test of time. Nothing escapes their inspections to make sure you are completely satisfied with the product.
What to wear for a hike in the snow
Here are our tips for braving the winter in style:
- Wool socks for maximum warmth,
- Breathable socks suitable for every adventure to keep your feet dry,
- One pair depending on the height of the upper because fashion and comfort go hand in hand in the snow
How to preserve the waterproofing
Think of your boots as shields against water! Their water-repellent finish makes them waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this feature sometimes needs a little refresh to remain effective. Just a quick spray is enough to revive the material and keep it ready for the elements.
How do I dry the inside of my boots?
To effectively dry the inside of your wet boots, use newspaper to absorb the moisture and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources, which can damage the material, and dry in a warm, dry and well-ventilated place.
