Women's Mountaineering Clothes

Of course! At decathlon.com.gr you will find a full collection of women's mountaineering apparel for total comfort, warmth, and safety on every adventure. The range includes technical reinforced pants, waterproof insulated jackets, thermal baselayers, fleece jackets, and lightweight down jackets from specialized Decathlon brands.

When wearing a climbing harness, the ideal fit is a slim, athletic cut without excess fabric bunching at the waist.
Specifically, mountaineering jackets feature a longer drop tail and a 2-way front zipper, preventing the jacket from riding up above the harness and allowing easy access to your belay device. Additionally, jacket and pant pockets are positioned higher so they remain fully accessible when the waistbelt is tightened.

For complete freedom of movement in the shoulders and arms while mountaineering or using an ice axe, it is important to choose clothing with the following technical features:
1. Specific sleeve patterning with gusseted underarms or 3D articulated shoulder design, which keeps the jacket hem down when raising your arms.
2. 4-way stretch fabrics in fleece and softshell layers.
3. A helmet-compatible hood that adjusts smoothly without pulling or binding on your neck and shoulders.

For a lightweight and effective layering setup on ascents, you can apply the 3-layer system with women-specific pieces!
• Base layer: A breathable thermal top made of synthetic material or Merino wool for rapid moisture wicking.
• Mid layer: A lightweight stretch fleece or thin synthetic jacket providing thermal insulation without overheating.
• Outer layer: A windproof and/or waterproof hardshell or softshell jacket that protects against wind and cold.
