The official dimensions of a ping pong net are set by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and are as follows:
Length: 1.83 meters, to cover the full width of the table.
Height: 15.25 centimeters from the table surface to the top of the net.
Support: The net must be securely fastened to remain tight and stable during play.
These dimensions are used for official competitions and ensure proper gameplay balance. The nets at Decathlon meet these specifications, offering durability and easy setup for training or recreational play.

To correctly set up a ping pong net, first attach the supports or clamps to the table edges, ensuring the surface is clean and level. Lay the net on the brackets and stretch it so it is tight, symmetrical, and at a height of 15.25cm from the table surface. Check that the net is straight along the entire length of the table and that the supports hold it firmly without bending or sagging.

No, not all ping pong nets are compatible with every table, as compatibility depends on the table’s width and the type of attachments it has. Official tables are 1.83m wide, but smaller or foldable tables may require adjustable or more flexible nets and brackets. When choosing a net at Decathlon Greece, check the product description to ensure it fits your table’s width and type of mounting, and look for double support options to guarantee stable and proper installation for the best playing experience.

To adjust the height of a ping pong net, start by checking the adjustable brackets or clips that come with the net. The official height is 15.25cm at the center of the table, so use a measuring tape for accuracy. Tighten the net so that it is firm and taut but not overly stretched to avoid bending upward or loosening. Most nets include setup instructions that make it easy to install on any table, ensuring balanced gameplay and proper tension.
