TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

The leading fin worldwide

Manufactured since 1936, the Makapuu Churchill fins have become an essential piece of equipment for high-performance bodyboarding.
The Makapuu Churchill fins were the first bodyboarding fins in the world. These models are patented and trademarked.
Each fin, made from natural rubber, is individually inspect to ensure a unique quality standard is respected.
The Makapuu fin has been created to resemble a dolphin tail, which will give you extra thrust and improved performance.

Fin selected for intermediate to advanced bodyboarders: Favours propulsion and good catch in the waves.

These fins are designed to give strong propulsion (large, very rigid blade) and good catch in the waves (asymmetry and lateral ribs). It is recommended for intermediate and advanced bodyboarders. Being asymmetrical, these fins may be harder on your knees.
If you prefer a symmetrical effort, the 500 RADBUG fin is recommended.
For more comfort, neoprene booties can be worn.

Choose the right size of fins. Always try on the fins before buying them.

Your foot should be supported without being compressed. The back strap should be in contact with your heel and your toes should not be bent.
If you add neoprene socks for comfort and/or warmth, you will need to go up half a size. Consider trying the fins on with and without socks at the time of purchase.
Using fins leashes is recommended (Leash 500 or 900 sold separately). This will also impact sizing, to a half size higher or lower.
