What is NOVADRY technology?
NOVADRY is a high-performance, waterproof and breathable lining technology. Seamless and directly worked on the upper, it provides a barrier against water while promoting the regulation of heat caused by foot perspiration.
How waterproof are they?
To protect against pebbles, we’ve tackled two key aspects: the MFOAM midsole, which reduces sensations underfoot caused by mountainous terrain, and a moulded rubber stone guard at the front, effectively protecting the toes.
Which size should I select?
To find the right boots, try several sizes and models. You may want to choose a size larger than your usual size for greater comfort when walking downhill. Choose sports socks that are suitable for hiking to prevent your feet from overheating.
How often and how intensely can you hike?
Three levels of practice:
Occasional: 10 hikes per year, 3-4 hrs, < 10 km, 700 m altitude climb.
Regular: 20 hikes per year, 4-6 hrs, 10-20 km, 700-1,200 altitude climb.
Intensive: > 20 hikes per year,> 6 hrs, > 20 km, up to 2,000 m altitude climb.
These MH900s are suitable for intensive use.
How to prevent blisters
To prevent blisters, choose well-fitting shoes, wear suitable socks, lace your boots up properly and adjust the laces before going uphill or downhill. Then start with short walks to break in your new pair.
How to choose the right socks
For a comfortable hike, choose Merino wool or synthetic socks for better breathability and to prevent blisters. Choose a thickness that suits the season and terrain, and make sure your shoes fit snugly over the top, without any creases.
How should you look after your shoes?
Air dry: Leave them to dry naturally,
Clean off any mud: Remove dry mud with a stiff brush,
Treat any stains: Brush with warm water,
Drying: Make sure they are completely dry,
Restore the waterproof properties: Spray with a solution to restore water repellency.
