How is comfortable temperature measured?

We lab-test each of our products so that we can provide you with a indicative value on the item's comfort. It’s measured without tights for trousers. The measurement indicated is that of the external temperature in which the testers are neither warm, nor cold. Of course, this perceived temperature varies in line with the intensity of the activity and the metabolism of the individual.

This product is repairable

We commit to repairing your product free of charge for the duration of the warranty. Whatever it is, fixings, seams, zips, etc. This service is offered in your usual store. However, if we can't repair your product (production defect), we will exchange it or reimburse you.

How to wash your ski trousers?

To optimise the performance and durability of your ski trousers, we recommend:
* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme.
* Turn the product inside out.
* Add a small amount of detergent. No softener.
* Spin between 800 and 1200 rpm.
* Dry flat or tumble dry.
Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator.”

How is waterproofing of the fabric measured?

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. The fabric of these trousers has a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm, and so resists the pressure of 10,000 mm of water.
For skiing, we recommend components between 3000 mm and 20,000 mm.

How is the water resistance of a jacket measured?

To go beyond a simple component waterproofing value, here at Decathlon, we test all our waterproof products in the lab. How do we perform this test? We have an articulated model which we put the jacket on, and then put it under a shower for a few hours.
With this test, we can confirm that the jacket protects you from snowfall or a downpour, i.e. 18 cm of rain in 3 hours.
