SIZE MATTERS
Length 10 ft (3 m). Lengths of carp rods at 9 and 10 FEET are used for carp fishing, roaming fishing, or to make it more compact for quick sessions.
The dismantled length of the rod is 1.57 m. No. of sections: 2
WEIGHT:345 gr
Before casting, check that the joints are properly assembled. A poorly inserted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
A TOP TIP ACTION ROD
Known as "fast action". The tip action of X'trem-9 300 allows it to bend through the last third of its length to the tip.
The rod's action is reduced, making the main body of these rods quite stiff.
This means that the rod's action is reduced, i.e. it bends less when tension is applied by fish. The advantage is that the stiffness enables long distance casting.
SIZE AND FASTENING OF THE GUIDES
- SEAGUIDE starting rings: 40 mm, 30 mm, 20 mm, 16 mm, 12 mm, and 12 mm
Lightweight and braid resistant. You can use braid on your reels with no fear of damaging your rings. This is a prime criterion of choice if you use braid regularly.
The rings are attached via three legs. These 'three-legged' fastenings are stronger for greater resistance to powerful casting.
THE LITTLE EXTRAS
1. The tip of the MOON CONCEPT lights up in contact with UV rays. It is recommended to go with the MOON CONCEPT headlamp
2. The metal reel holder is adjustable. It allows balancing the assembly to be able to realise castings under the best conditions
CASTING WEIGHT
The test curve of your rod is a gauge of two different but complementary characteristics:
- The ability to resist a tension force similar to wrestling with a fish.
-The rod's ability to cast a weight over a certain distance.
The 3.25 lbs power enables you to cast up to 110 g beyond 120 m and master big fish with ease.
MAINTAINING YOUR ROD
Everyday maintenance is simple: just clean your rods with warm soapy water, and then rinse and dry them carefully, paying special attention to the joints.
This step is very important to make sure you remove any sand that can damage your rods
