Durability

Elbow and crotch patches for superior durability.
Outer reinforcement patches in high-wear areas.
For better durability, the seams are taped in high-wear areas.
Velcro taped: seams reinforced inside in high-wear areas

Taped seams with a GBS glued and blind-stitched assembly.

The seams of the suit and hood are waterproof, with a glued and blind stitched (GBS) assembly: neoprene is bonded and then stitched to ensure maximum resistance (the needle does not go all the way through the neoprene, preventing leaks).

Thermal comfort details.

Front-zip wetsuit jacket with 5 mm neoprene at the chest.
2.5 mm neoprene roll-up hood.
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a wetsuit works in 2 ways:
1-The trapped water gradually warms up
2-Heat transfer from the body decreases.
The suit and film of water form an insulating layer.
Once a thin film of water is trapped between your body and the jacket, no more water is able to circulate thanks to the Inner Stop Water inside the sleeves.

Multi-thickness

The wetsuit features 5 mm neoprene through the bust to guarantee thermal comfort.
4 mm on the sides and shoulders and 3 mm Supratex on the sleeves, this multi-thickness suit has the comfort and ergonomics required for a canyoning

What is a wetsuit?

This is the most common type of wetsuit on the market. Its purpose is not to keep out the water, but to trap it inside so that your body warms it up, creating a thermal buffer between yourself and the outside.
Made of neoprene – a rubber polymer filled with air bubbles – these wetsuits are available in thicknesses of 0.5 to 7 mm.
As such, they make excellent wetsuits because they are flexible and modular.

Tips for looking after your canyoning suit?

1/ After each session, soak the wetsuit in clean water, on the outside and the inside
2/ Use a bactericide solution to clean
3/ Rinse thoroughly in clean water
4/ Dry on a large hanger in a well-ventilated place in the shade. Keep away from direct sunlight as it can fade the fabric parts of the suit. The zippers can be cleaned with a toothbrush.

Choose your size carefully

To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A canyoning wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water).

Keep warm

When we are in the water, over half our body heat is lost through the body's extremities (feet, hands, head).
This is why we recommend the following accessories:
- in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => 3 mm low neoprene socks
- in cold water (54 - 63°F): 3 mm gloves
- in very cold water (45 - 54°F): Neoprene jacket, gloves and hood.

Limitation of water ingress

The ends of the wrists have silicone stoppers that limit water ingress. They also allow better support when using gloves.
