TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Dimensions

The handle measures 34.8 cm in length, making it ideal for one-handed or two-handed cutting.
The axe head measures 13 cm in length, with a 8.5 cm blade.
The axe comes with an orange paracord wrist strap.

Functions

The axe can be held further from the head for cutting a series of logs, with either one or both hands, depending on preference.
It can also be held with a closer grip for precision cutting, such as making feather sticks or debarking.
Finally, the back of the axe head can be used as a hammer, for example, to hammer in improvised tent pegs. We’ve opted for a heavier head weight, to allow for increased blade length and high momentum, to facilitate cutting.

Sheath

A rigid plastic sheath is provided with the axe to protect the blade and its cutting edge, so you can carry it easily on your belt.
A fastening clip ensures you can firmly close the sheath.CAUTION: it is normal to have to force the plastic catch to insert the axe right into its case and hear the click confirming the axe is securely in position. If not, it may come out of its housing.

Maintenance

Please take care, as this is not stainless steel, and it may rust. Make sure to always store the axe in a dry place. Oil the blade when the axe isn’t used for long periods.
Use a sharpening stone to sharpen the blade.
