TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

A FRUIT JELLY REDESIGNED THANKS TO YOUR FEEDBACK

You thought the old version was too sticky in its packaging and hence hard to eat while running.Practically speaking, how did we solve this problem?
We added two stabilizers to our recipe ingredients:
- citric acid (present in the previous recipe),
- and sodium citrate from lemons.
What's the verdict? Our 50 testers fully approved it, both in terms of its flavour and melt-in-the-mouth, non-sticky texture!

A LOCAL PRODUCT, JUST AS WE LIKE IT

Aren't you curious to know where the fruit jelly that you take on your runs is made?OK, if you insist! It actually originated in a small factory in the south of France, “which has been our partner for around fifteen years,” says Juliette, nutrition engineer.
The apples and pears are French - we'll tell you about them in just a moment. The sugar is also French. The other fruit is imported from European or other countries where the makes their cultivation possible.

WHY ARE THERE APPLES OR PEARS IN YOUR FRUIT JELLY?

This is a vital question, especially when the flavour you've chosen is citrus or strawberry-cranberry.Don't worry, it's not a strange mixture concocted by Betty the dinner lady. Apples and pears are simply two fruits used as a base in our recipe. They are selected in orchards by our supplier in the south of France we mentioned earlier.

A PRODUCT DESIGNED FOR YOUR ENDURANCE ACTIVITIES

Nutritionists recommend 60 g of carbohydrates (= sugar) per hour of sport for workouts longer than 3 hours. This 25g fruit jelly contains 21g of carbohydrates, of which 16g are simple sugars. We recommend that you bite into your first bar after 30 minutes of sport, i.e. two bars an hour (or one bar + one gel/one bar), in addition to an isotonic drink.

VERY EASY TO OPEN AND CLOSE!

The days of tearing the plastic off with your teeth (and ending up chewing part of it while you did so) are over.No longer are you condemned to choose between eating it all in one go or stuffing what remains into the lost recesses of your pockets. The adhesive strip enables easy, trouble-free opening. The fastening protects your precious treasure until the next mouthful!

WHAT ARE ALL THESE INGREDIENTS FOR?

● Sugar and maltodextrin for energy.
● Glucose syrup for texture.
● Glycerol for texture and stability.
● Pectin for texture. It is a gelling agent used in jam and naturally present in fruit.
● Powdered acerola, a superfruit, for vitamin C! ● Vitamins B1, B3, and B6 for reducing fatigue:it counts to be smiling on your photos!
● For the other ingredients, see A fruit jelly redesigned thanks to your feedback.

LET'S GO FOR THE SPORTS NUTRITION OF THE FUTURE: EVEN TASTIER

Aube, ingredient engineer:
"Our decisions regarding the choice of ingredients go far beyond regulatory requirements. We're gradually getting rid of additives as much as possible. In our approach to selecting ingredients and additives, we're taking an interest in ethics. We also want to simplify our recipes and are gradually moving in this direction."
